The energy at Casa J is tranquility, simple elegance, and creativity. Furnishings are eclectic and interesting, both contemporary and rustic antique. Some things found, some things designed and custom made.

Casa J was also designed with a concern for the environment. Water comes from a well on the property. Thermal mass and natural air convection help regulate heat. Solar panels tie to the grid and generate more power than used. Hot water is thermal solar. Rainwater is captured and used. Gray water is used for landscape and black water is treated in a biodigestor. All lighting is LED.
